This one, Park Plaza in Pinellas Park, opens officially today with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Park Plaza is Pinellas Park's biggest shopping center.

It occupies 14 acres extending northwest from Park Boulevard and 49th Street North. The 21 stores to be in the $1.5 million center are Allen's Cardorama, Anna Mae's Beauty Shop, Royal BarbershopBond Jewelers, Maytag Laundracenter, Colony Shops, Eckerd Drugs, Fremacs, W. T. Grant, Park Plaza Esso, Leeds Shoes, Len's Lad 'n Lassie, Martinizing Dry Cleaners, Park Lane Cafeterias, Shoe Repair, Publix, Tyree's, Union Finance, Park Plaza Bakery, Woolworth, and Hope Associates, Inc. The major tenants are Publix, W.

Woolworth, W. T. Grant and Eckerd's Drug Store. The center has .122,000 square feet in retail shopping space and room for parking 1,000 cars. At today's opening the center will give away souvenirs and provide entertainment.
