Roux and other residents of Lutz yesterday filed Injunction suit in circuit court to restrain the county board of public instruction from erecting a new school building at Lutz on a site selected by the board. A bond issue of $30,000 was voted in the Lutz special school tax district some months ago to build a modern brick school house. Since that time a contest has been waged by two factions as to where the new school house would be erected.

Roux and his co-complainants, represented by Attorney John B. Sutton, allege the site selected is not in the most populous section nor located with a view to accommodating the larger number of residents. Superintendent Snipes of the county school said yesterday that the board had not yet called for bids forfsale of the bond issue nor for construction of the building. "Well, George Washington, you're charged with vagrancy. What about it?" The testimony disclosed that George hadn't worked for some time and wasn't at all anxious to begin. "I think I'll furnish you with a nice birthday dinner," said the judge. "Fifteen dollars, and if you can't pay it, go down to the stockade and you'll get the dinner George went. Past presidents of the club contributed chapters to this history, each covering the year of his incumbency. Inasmuch as Rotary was organized Jn 1905 and the Tampa club was not formed until 1914, the progress of the organization up to the latter year was given by John A. Turner. Mr.

Turner also covered the year 1914, when the late Jack Ma-honey was president, and 19io, when he was president. Mrs. Mahoney Introduced An interesting incident was the presence of a number of Rotary ladies, including the wives of the past presidents. Mrs. Mahoney, widow of the first president, was specially introduced and given a rising greeting by the Rotarians, C.

C. Nott was chairman of the committee, with Frank Townsend and C. M. Davis as his assistants. The growth of the organization, from the first luncheon in Chicago, in 1905, to its present strength of 125,000 members in 2,500 communities in 36 countries, was brought out by the various speakers.

The work of the local club was also outlined. An interesting fact brought out was that T. F. Alexander, who was president in 1920, had not missed attendance at a Rotary meeting since 1919. A.

Griffin, chairman of the finance committee for the district conference to be held in Tampa in April, announced that an assessment of $50 would be made on each member to' defray the expense of the conference. The entertainment fund will be raised entirely within the club, and no outside financial assistance will be asked. The conference will bring to Tampa representatives of more than 50 cities in Georgia and Florida, as well as a- number of leading Rotarians from other states. Done With Racing President Bailey, asked for a report on horse race in which he represented the club during the fair, replied that he was now more opposed to racing than ever before. "No Rotary service I ever performed hurt my feelingfc as much as that one," he said.

"Three things are essential to winning a horse race a horse, a saddle and a rider. In my case, these elements failed to live up to Rotnry principles they didn't co-operate." Incidentally, the old man was urged to do hia part In seeing that the child Is brought up right so that the problem of the teacher In the primary grades might be made easier. The sixth grade of Gorrie was picked for the musical end of the entertainment, and the youngsters, boys and girls, not at all shy, sang a number of songs clearly and well. But it remained for the little Garlets Marcia and Violet to win the greatest applause by a novelty dance, unusually good. They responded to several encores and they would have been called forth many times more, but the audience didn't feel like overtaxing the smaller- of the two, and besides there was a speech making program to go through with.

Tells ef Work Done Mrs. J. P. Hamilton, state vlce-nresident of the A. made a talk on the organization, what It has done, what It hopes to do, and declared that the home was the place to start the young school pupil right.

"Nothing Is so worth while as children," she said, "and no organization Is so worth while as the Parent-Teacher association because at all times it is studying the welfare of the Child." Mrs. Hamilton said a good word for the so called naughty child, who Isn't that at all, once he is understood. The trouble, she said, was with -the grown ups, who didn't start him right and who didn't give him the right chance. There was' a solo, "My Tribute," dedicated to the A. and sung by Mrs.

F. T. Macon. Omer Carmichael, supervising principal. In discussing the link between the home and the school, paid an unusual tribute to the primary school teacher.

Primary Teacher Praised "The primary teacher has more nearly mastered the work, understands it more and Is doing more than any other group in educational work today," he said. "And this teacher realizes that the little fellows flying a kite in the streets today are the ones who will fill the jails or highest places of public trust in the years to come. Therefore, she is seeking to do her part to see that these children are led along the right path, but when the child starts from home for school on the first trip there must be an understanding on the child's part that first of all must be obedience." The new lunch room was opened to the parents and refreshmenta were served under the direction of the lunch room committee, of which Mrs. F. W.

McCaffery is chairman. What has been accomplished by the mothers in making the lunch room a real aervlc to Gorrie pupils was a revelation to the daddy part of the association. THE FLAMINGO THE SOUTHLAND ACL TAiMa Ir. garaaaia ACL lv. Sarasota plentiful, bubbling foam.
