He was currently employed as CFO for Brannen Banks of Florida, Inverness, FL. In addition to his banking career, he worked for two Sarasota entrepreneurs but his most memorable career was working for George Steinbrenner and the New York Yankees. He enjoyed home improvement projects, was an avid reader, and had a deep passion for history and travel.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ginger, his daughter, Lisa Szymczak (Chuck); his brother, Hans Jaspers (Eloise), two stepdaughters, Michelle Huebener and Jennifer Bernard (Cameron), five grandchildren, as well as other family members.
